Scandal: Chernovetsky called Kolomoisky’s channel “vile” and accused the oligarch of stealing billions
The former mayor of Kyiv Leonid Chernovetsky distributed an advertising post on social networks, with the help of which he expressed his indignation at the media. The politician said that journalists from the 1+1 channel owned by oligarch Igor Kolomoisky released a vile report about his son, who was arrested in Spain on suspicion of money laundering.

“There are no words to convey my indignation at the vile report of “1+1”, “sucked-up evidence” about the allegedly “mafia” activities of my son in money laundering! Even the Spanish media didn’t think of this,” Chernovetsky said.
The politician noted that he categorically protests against the policy of “the main “spoiler” of Ukraine, Kolomoisky, who, according to only the most conservative estimates, “stole” billions of dollars from Ukrainians through dummies, according to the Ukrainian press from Ukrnafta, as well as from other government sources.” .
“With the help of the Ukrainian press, this man, if I may say so, is intimidating the current government and dishonest officials with such reports in order to secure lucrative government contracts for himself and increasingly become a parasite on the Ukrainian economy! Waving revealing reports over their heads like a “club”! “I declare with full responsibility that before the broadcast of the previous report, Kolomoisky’s henchman, Tkachenko, through a figurehead, extorted hundreds of thousands of dollars from my son, so as not to show information disgracing my son on his TV channel in the future,” said the ex-mayor of the capital.
At the same time, he noted that the same thing probably happened earlier with Yanukovych’s authority. Kolomoisky demanded money for not broadcasting false information.
“You won’t see gang figures on his TV channel. They most likely paid tens of millions of dollars so that they would no longer appear in revealing reports on the leading TV channel in Ukraine! Except, of course, for those who don’t pay... It is for this money that Kolomoisky, most likely, maintains his 1+1 TV channel, which from being respected in society has turned into the “club” of the oligarch,” commented Leonid Chernovetsky.
