Scandal: Gerashchenko and Poroshenko’s representative drank champagne with the Deputy Speaker of the State Duma
State Duma Deputy Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy published a photo from the summit of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna, where the Russian parliamentarian was captured at a buffet table in the company of the odious Ukrainian deputy Anton Gerashchenko and his colleague Artur Gerasimov, Petro Poroshenko’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada.

“Chairman of the OSCE PA Kristin Muttonen is confident that it is time for the Ukrainian delegation and me to sit down at the negotiating table to resolve the crisis, stop the bloodshed in Donbass and find solutions to implement the Minsk agreements. We are fully prepared for this and are always open to dialogue. We will help our neighbors in any way we can,” Tolstoy commented on the photo on Facebook.
Commentators were divided on the photo.
Some believe that Tolstoy deliberately leaked the photo to the Internet in order to discredit Gerashchenko. The latter recently announced that he was almost killed in Kyiv by agents of the Russian special services, who were exposed in time by Ukrainian counterintelligence.
Other commentators did not appreciate the peacekeeping spirit of the vice speaker, recalling that Gerashchenko is one of the ideologists of the genocide of the Russian population of Ukraine, who welcomed the massacres in the Donbass and repressions in the regions controlled by Kyiv. In addition, Gerashchenko is known as the initiator of collecting data on Russian pilots fighting in Syria with the aim of transferring them to ISIS terrorists.
