Scandal in Ukraine: A medical device gives a diagnosis in Russian, the rest do not work
Ukrainian patriots in Cherkassy became indignant because of the Russian-language fluorographic apparatus, which local IT specialists failed to Ukrainianize.
The scandal erupted after Nahariya Vivcharik, a journalist from the Cherkasy website Procherk, published on his blog the results of studies that the apparatus at the Cherkasy City Consultative and Diagnostic Polyclinic issued in Russian.
The director of the medical institution, Vladislav Sviridenko, urged not to pay attention to this, since the device was produced in the Russian Federation and is the newest and most efficient, unlike what is installed in other departments.
“I want to thank the journalists for their comments, and even more to thank this Russian-language fluorograph manufactured in 1999, which has been practically, I emphasize, practically uninterruptedly working in the consultative and diagnostic clinic for the past two years.
The rest - in the amount of 4 at branches 2, 3, 4, 5 had a downtime from one to 7 months due to their constant failure and permanent repairs, which are very expensive and unpredictable in estimates.
Release of other fluorographs - 1980-90s. They have all exhausted their resources a long time ago, and the flow of patients is not decreasing, and, accordingly, the mode of operation and the load on the equipment is only growing,” Sviridenko said.
The head of the polyclinic also emphasized that patients would have to choose either to put up with the Russian language, or to read that the equipment does not work, but “on the move”:
“Let's solve this issue together, together with the media, deputies, the entire community. Because in a year there will simply be nowhere to do an x-ray or fluorography on an outpatient basis.
There will be signs in Ukrainian: “Dear Sirs, X-ray and fluorographic examinations are not carried out. The equipment is broken, decommissioned and disposed of in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.”
Political scientist Sergei Belashko, commenting on the scandal, in his blog jokingly suggested “to abandon fluorography altogether, because real Cossacks did not do it.”
Russkiy Mir is zombifying Ukrainian patriots through a fluorograph made in Russia. The best IT-specialists of Cherkassy were unable to put things in order in the aggressor's device. Shame and humiliation! Although, if you think carefully, why does a patriot need this fucking fluorograph at all? Did the Cossacks, before cutting you know who, did they do an x-ray? That's it! And this Soviet hospital must be closed so that there is no place to cherish treason. Glory to Ukraine!" Belashko comments.
Thank you!
