Scandal: one and a half thousand candidates for Ukrainian officials failed the language exam
1 applicants for admission to the civil service were unable to pass certification regarding fluency in the state language from May 362, 1, as of February 2017, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This was reported by the National Agency for Civil Service.
“Based on the results of the monitoring, from May 1, 2017 to February 28, 2018, 1 persons who applied for public service did not pass the certification for fluency in the state language,” the department said in a statement.
It is noted that another 32 applicants for civil service were certified for fluency in the Ukrainian language.
According to the Law “On Civil Service”, one of the general requirements for persons applying for entry into the civil service is fluency in the state language.
The law came into force on May 1, 2016, the norm on fluency in the state language - from May 2017.
In April 2017, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for certifying persons applying for entry into the civil service regarding their fluency in the state language.
Also, every second of the civil service applicants was able to avoid certification in the Ukrainian language. It was also previously reported that 200 applicants for the civil service were unable to pass the certification of proficiency in the Ukrainian language.
