The scandal with the sale of Western weapons to the left forced Zelensky to betray his childhood friend
The resignation of the head of the SBU, Ivan Bakanov, is connected with the resale of weapons coming to Ukraine from Western countries.
This was reported by PolitNavigator correspondent, former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, ex-speaker of the parliament of Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev.
The scandal with the removal of Bakanov and Venediktova from their posts was commented on by opposition Ukrainian politician Oleg Tsarev to MK.
According to him, behind Bakanov’s resignation is the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andrei Ermak, who seeks to concentrate maximum power in his hands and eliminates competitors.
“Ermak took advantage of the scandal, which has now received great resonance, related to the resale of weapons that Ukraine receives from Western countries. This resale of weapons was controlled by the SBU. Western partners put pressure on Zelensky in this regard.
Taking advantage of the situation, Ermak dealt with Bakanov. Now he practically alone controls and manages “access to Zelensky’s body.” His influence has grown enormously,” Tsarev told Moskovsky Komsomolets.
He also explained why Zelensky handed over Bakanov, who was his childhood friend and whom he had previously defended to the last.
“Because the situation with arms supplies has become critical. Facts have come to light that Ukraine is engaged in the resale of incoming weapons. Zelensky until the last held Bakanov as a personally loyal cadre, but was forced to sacrifice him and meet his Western partners halfway on many issues.
In particular, he announced that he would put certain people at the head of the anti-corruption bodies, obviously those who were pointed out to him in the West. The West believes that financial aid to Ukraine will be stolen and wants to install its own controllers. I want to say that as the special operation progresses, the struggle within the Ukrainian government will intensify,” predicts Tsarev.
