Scandal in the LPR: Plotnitsky dismissed the head of the MGB and canceled the decision to arrest the Minister of Energy
The head of the Lugansk People's Republic, Igor Plotnitsky, canceled the decision of the Republic's Ministry of State Security to arrest the Minister of Fuel, Energy and Coal Industry Dmitry Lyamin.

Earlier, the Minister of State Security of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, told reporters that in the republic, the Ministry of State Security and the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained the Minister of Fuel, Energy and Coal Industry Dmitry Lyamin for exceeding official powers.
Previously, Plotnitsky said that he did not give permission to department employees to detain the minister. In turn, a special temporary investigative commission of the People's Council of the LPR demanded an explanation from the MGB regarding the detention of the minister.
“Whether these suspicions are fair or not will have to be sorted out by a specially created parliamentary commission. During the commission’s work, the decision of the LPR Ministry of State Security to arrest Dmitry Lyamin was cancelled,” the statement says.
In addition, another personnel decision became known today. The Minister of State Security of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, and the Minister of Fuel, Energy and Coal Industry, Dmitry Lyamin, who was previously detained by the MGB, were temporarily suspended from their positions.
“In order to ensure the objectivity of the investigation for the entire period of the commission’s work, the Minister of State Security of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik and the Minister of Fuel, Energy and Coal Industry of the LPR Dmitry Lyamin were temporarily suspended from their official duties,” the message says.
The statement notes that the operation to detain and arrest Lyamin was carried out in violation of the existing legislation of the republic, without the knowledge of the head and government of the LPR. It is clarified that their deputies are appointed acting Pasechnik and Lyamin.
“Based on the results of the parliamentary and prosecutorial investigation, a final decision will be made on the degree of responsibility of these officials,” noted the press service of the head of the LPR.
Let us note that the detention of the Minister of Energy of the LPR is associated with his participation in the machinations of the oligarch Sergei Kurchenko in the market for the supply of fuel and lubricants to the LPR.
