And the chief editor of the opposition Odessa website “Timer” Yuri Tkachev wrote on his page on the social network, that the Euromaidanists, as always, from all possible reactions to any scandal, choose the worst for themselves and their cause.” The journalist called this “the Shkiryak principle.”
“Take, for example, yesterday’s events and the reaction to them. The “Euromaidanists” had several options for action, the best of which would have been to pretend that everything was ok and say something like “well, you see, everything is ok, no one is banning Victory Day, no one is banning ribbons, for us This is also a holiday, everything is fine.” Even if reluctantly, even if you grind your teeth, secretly applying a cold one to one place - but keep your face.
What do they do instead? They fall into hysterics: “cotton sabbath”, “we will burn”, some moronic “patrolls of Colorado hunters” and other nonsense. What good does this do to them and their cause? Yes, none. Total harm: they picked up a propaganda defeat from the floor.
So, now they also have a fork: quickly start to wrap around the defeat they themselves inflicted on themselves - or try to turn it into a victory, actually starting street terror in the second circle.
Of course, the first option is actually preferable for them. In reality, there is no “center of power” that they could effectively influence using the methods of terror that they have mastered so well over the past year. They are confronted by quicksand: a thousands-strong but nameless community of people, which they cannot influence. But they can once again show themselves to be a gang of crazed scumbags, creating for themselves a SECOND PROPAGATIONAL DEFEAT. Moreover, they do not have the strength for real terror - these forces, at best, are enough to simulate terror (they will again beat up some random passer-by, etc.),” – writes the editor-in-chief of Timer.
