Scandal in Poland: the intermediary was caught in the illegal employment of hundreds of Ukrainians
An intermediary company in the Polish Warmian-Masurian voivodeship illegally employed 346 foreigners, most of whom are Ukrainians, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the Polish Border Service with reference to Forsal.
“In September, border guards in Olsztyn checked the legality of the employment of foreigners in a company in Iława, which is an employment intermediary. They identified violations in the employment of 346 foreigners,” said Miroslava Aleksandrovich, a spokeswoman for the local department of the Polish border service.
The publication notes that employers for illegal employment face a fine of up to 30 thousand zlotys.
As Aleksandrovich explained, the check covered only 438 foreigners. She showed that the owner of the employment agency instructed 315 citizens of Ukraine, 21 citizens of Moldova, nine citizens of Georgia and Armenia to carry out work on conditions other than those specified in the permit.
“Foreigners worked with violations in the construction sector and in furniture companies in the Ilavsky district,” she added.
