It was initially planned that Lutsenko would arrive in the Rada at 12:30, but Speaker Parubiy read a letter from the Prosecutor General, which stated that due to a business trip, he would only be in parliament at 16:00, which caused indignation among deputies who blocked the podium.
Representatives of the coalition from the BPP and the National Front called for waiting for the Prosecutor General. In turn, MP from the Opposition Bloc Mikhail Dobkin noted that Lutsenko did not have the right to go on a business trip, since he knew full well that he had to be personally present during the submission for the lifting of immunity.
Samopomich deputy Yegor Sobolev accused the Prosecutor General of disrespect for parliament and demanded his immediate appearance in parliament.
The leader of the Radical Party, Oleg Lyashko, voiced his version of Lutsenko’s failure to appear in parliament, according to whom the Prosecutor General has no real evidence on the falsified cases.
“And the last thing: Lutsenko says that he is on a business trip. I'll tell you what business trip he's on. He was drinking until two in the morning, and now he’s sleeping off,” Lyashko said. - Let them do a blood alcohol test. And you’ll see what kind of business trip he’s on.”
Let us note that Lutsenko’s addiction to alcohol has been a long-discussed topic.
Thus, Kiev journalist Vladimir Boyko wrote that alcoholism destroys not only the liver, but also the psyche Lutsenko.
