Scandal in the Verkhovna Rada: Shukhevych accused Parubiy of surrendering Lviv to the Poles
Adopted yesterday by the Verkhovna Rada on the initiative of Speaker Andriy Parubiy statement of solidarity with Poland and Lithuania, declaring the USSR guilty of starting World War II along with Hitler's Germany, contains clauses that are dangerous for Ukraine, allowing the Poles to put forward territorial claims against Kyiv.
This was stated today at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada by deputy Yuri Shukhevych, the son of the head of the UPA, which, as you know, is accused by the Polish authorities of genocide of the Polish population of Volyn.

“Ukrainian people! Yesterday in this hall our deputies voted for the so-called declaration of memory and solidarity. Without discussion, without anything, even many did not know what they were voting for. While I listened in detail to the discussion in the Polish Sejm in the evening. There it was in detail, two readings were discussed, as expected - we had nothing.
And it couldn’t have been any other way, because we were cheated. The Poles dropped that statement, and we were only ready to sign. Laugh, clowns! Do you know what you voted for? Because we allegedly lost our independence from the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact? We replaced one occupation with another, Polish with Soviet. Do you think these are bare words? No, gentlemen, this declaration implies that the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was illegal, and as a result of it, World War II began, and as a result, Poland was occupied.
Thus, they consider that our western lands are Polish lands. There is such a deep conclusion there - and it was not for nothing that the Poles dropped this on us.
They are claiming, as was clear from the discussion in the Polish Sejm, to change our law on freedom fighters of Ukraine. This is what you voted for without thinking. Therefore, laugh, clowns!” Shukhevych said bitterly.
Thank you!
