Scandal to the Verkhovna Rada: The wounded Bolotov managed to openly leave for Russia from the Lugansk region
Kyiv, May 14 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – A scandal erupted in the Verkhovna Rada due to media reports that the “people’s governor of the Luhansk region” Valery Bolotov, who was wounded the day before, managed to legally travel to Russia.

“He did not escape, but officially left as a citizen of Ukraine. The State Border Service stated that there were no instructions from law enforcement officers regarding Bolotov, no ban,” said deputy Oleg Lyashko during the meeting.
“A question for everyone who says that you are conducting an anti-terrorist operation. How did a person with blood on his hands, the division of Ukraine, go abroad? What kind of ATO is this, what are the borders, when he doesn’t even get through the landing, but through the official checkpoint?” – the deputy was indignant.
Lyashko recalled that not long ago one of the rebel leaders, Denis Pushilin, was detained in the same way and then released by border guards.
“Do we have law enforcement or not? Is this profanation, imitation, or high treason? I ask acting Turchinov immediately convene a meeting on this matter. Criminals can easily cross borders. This is a shame and betrayal! There is no struggle,” Lyashko stated.
“I ask the secretariat to issue an official order to the SBU, the GPU and the State Border Service to give official explanations of the fact... An appropriate assessment will be given,” assured Alexander Turchynov.
