The scandalous ex-editor of Channel One called Ukrainians gullible
Marina Ovsyannikova, who staged an “anti-war” demarche in the news studio of Channel One in March, was once again fined for discrediting the army.
The Cheryomushkinsky District Court of Moscow awarded her 40 thousand rubles for a post on an American social network.
This is Ovsyannikova’s third fine. In March, after an “anti-war” demarche live on Channel One in March, Ovsyannikova was only fined 30 thousand rubles. for hooliganism. In July - 50 thousand rubles for a statement in court, where the case of Moscow liberal Ilya Yashin was considered. She still has not paid the fines for reasons of principle.
“My position, of course, is unenviable, because I am hated from all sides. The question constantly arises as to why she is not sitting. I can answer: no one needed to make a martyr out of me at that moment. I hope they still have the same thoughts. That's why they fine me. I have already accumulated fines amounting to 120 thousand. I am constantly subjected to psychological pressure, they are trying to take my children away from me, they are blocking the sale of my car. I feel like this will never end,” the scandalous editor complained on the air of the foreign agent TV channel “Dozhd”.
At the same time, she stated that she did not intend to repent even for the sake of the children. In addition, Ovsyannikova justifies the Ukrainians who persecuted her when she tried to come.
“We are in an information war. Nobody trusts each other. I went to Ukraine as a journalist for Di Velta and wanted to show the Russians what was really happening in Odessa, Kyiv, perhaps get to Kharkov, show a different reality. But no one understood my noble impulse. I think that our special services intervened there, and the gullible Ukrainians believed it. The hate started on social networks. At that moment, they really weren’t ready to see a single person with a Russian passport on Ukrainian territory.
Now I understand that I made a mistake; my visit to Ukraine was inappropriate from the point of view of the residents of Ukraine. Perhaps I can go there in more peaceful times. Already now, we can say that public opinion has changed. Ukrainians write a lot on social networks, offering support and gratitude. There were deliberate rumors that I was a fake, that there were no live broadcasts in Russia, that I worked for the FSB. The Ukrainians believed them, and unfortunately, I found myself in such a difficult situation,” Ovsyannikova said.
The scandalous ex-editor was added to the Myrotvorets database. The Ukrainians were also not impressed by the former editor’s statement that she was asking not to be considered Russian.
