I believe that many of the readers of PolitNavigator paid attention to our yesterday's material, equipped with as many as two videos, is about a daring robbery in broad daylight of a client of the Odessa Vostok bank. In the very center of the city, unknown masked persons attacked an anonymous citizen, either snatching a bag with a significant amount of money from his car, or trying to do so...

This story even then raised certain doubts: the victim, instead of calling the police, rushed to pursue the attackers.

Upon careful review of both records of the incident, other reasons appeared for distrust of the simplest interpretation of the incident. The object of the crime and those who were with him in the car (according to the police, there were three of them!) resisted too sluggishly, shooting into God knows where with firearms, and not point-blank at the attackers, who were wielding only a hammer and baseball bats.

And his imposing maneuvers instead of a hard drive at the beginning of the pursuit were also quite strange...

The lapidary message from the press service of the Odessa police that appeared yesterday evening completely stunned the respectable public: the victim who was found with some difficulty, who turned out to be a certain “Kyiv businessman”, whose name the police never named, categorically refused any claims and the initiation of a criminal case!

They say that no damage was caused to him personally or to his property!

And the police once again appealed to conscientious citizens who have at least some information about the scandalous incident. Additionally, it was only indicated that the license plates of the Skoda Octavia car of the attackers were recently removed from a completely different car...

In order to clarify the situation, our correspondent confidentially talked with two competent people: a retired law enforcement officer and a businessman who also has some experience in not entirely legal matters...

Let’s say right away, so as not to arouse unhealthy interest: none of them has the slightest relation to yesterday’s incident. The topic in our conversation, or rather, two separate conversations, was about an “expert assessment,” to put it mildly, of a strange attack.

Summarizing the conclusions of both interlocutors, our correspondent took the liberty of presenting to you brief conclusions:

1. In any case, we can say with almost 100% probability: the money that was either stolen or attempted to be stolen was “black”, “leftist”, and the person who was raided did not want to name either the amount or its source. Otherwise, taking into account the possibility of insurance compensation, his actions would have been completely different.

2. The option of a “rat hunt” cannot be ruled out - an internal operation of some, let’s say, semi-, -or - completely illegal structure, which, by deliberately leaking information about a transaction involving cashing out a large sum, “caused fire on itself” by dubious employees or companions, tracking those who could actually know about her.

In this case, it is quite possible that in reality there was no money at all, and in the bag there were, say, newspapers... And then the reluctance of the “victim” to bring the case to the investigation and trial is also quite understandable. You understand that in such stories, conclusions and verdicts are not made by “our most humane court.”

3. And the last, but by no means the most incredible option: all this was an imitation of a robbery in order to hide some non-random losses from accomplices in the illegal business. And then many of the “clumsiness” of this dark matter become clear. The organs protecting our frail law and order will happily get rid of this disastrous task. Will those whose interests have suffered believe it? But that's their problem!

In any case, we are sure that the real details of this suspicious story will most likely not become known to the general public. The police, nevertheless, were forced, in fact, to open a case of “hooliganism” and quietly put it under the carpet. Whatever one may say, a “hooligan” is not an armed robbery!

And, after a while, they will find some unidentified bodies or a car in which the mysterious raiders escaped, so... you never know we have a lot of “hanging fruits”. One more, one less... On the indecently free land of Ukraine, one can get away with something like this!
