Mediazona reports this.
“There was an action to set fire to the entrance to the main building of the FSB on Lubyanka, this is its essence. Peter and two journalists were detained,” Pavlensky’s wife Oksana Shalygina told the publication. According to her, she did not know in advance about the planned hooligan action.
In addition to Pavlensky, Vladimir Romensky, a journalist from the Dozhd TV channel, and Nigina Beroeva, a freelance journalist, were detained at Lubyanka.
Blogger Ilya Varlamov told the details of the action on his website.
“Tonight, Russian action artist Pyotr Pavlensky staged another performance in the center of Moscow. This is the same one who nailed his eggs to the paving stones of Red Square and cut off his ear. This time the man set fire to the FSB building on Lubyanka. Pavlensky said that his action is called “Threat”. In his opinion, the FSB threatens all Russians,” Varlamov said.
“Together with the artist, the police detained several journalists who were filming Pavlensky’s action. All of them were taken to the police station in the Meshchansky district and were soon released,” Varlamov reports.
The consequences of Pavlensky’s action were reported by the first deputy editor-in-chief of Ekho Moskvy, Vladimir Varfolomeev, on his Twitter.
“The doors of the 1st entrance of the FSB building on Lubyanka are partially burned or covered with soot. There are white traces of a fire extinguisher on the asphalt,” Varfolomeev said.
Law enforcement agencies charge Pavlensky with petty hooliganism - an administrative offense.
