This assessment of Petro Poroshenko’s recent decree on the sale of the remains of a Ukrainian warship to pay off wage debts at the Nikolaev plant named after 61 communards was given by the scandalous Kiev political scientist Oleg Soskin on his personal website.
Soskin cited data from the Nikolaev City Council, according to which wage arrears at the shipbuilding enterprise named after 61 communards as of March 22, 2017 amounted to only 48,6 million UAH, that is, about 1,6 million euros. According to a Kyiv political scientist, this amount is “small compared to the cost of a missile cruiser.”
“One gets the impression that Poroshenko is trying to completely undermine the combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is what Kuchma, Poroshenko’s father and mentor, did, this is what Yushchenko, Kravchuk, Yanukovych did, they specifically disarmed Ukraine. And now the Russian-American agent Poroshenko, hired by Putin, is acting in exactly the same way. He has no right to make decisions that cause such harm to the national security of Ukraine,” Oleg Soskin is indignant.
According to Yegor, instead of selling the missile cruiser, Poroshenko should have issued a decree on the nationalization of the Roshen corporation and the Leninskaya Kuznya plant, as well as sold the villa in Spain.
“At the same time, add the enterprises and assets of Akhmetov, Kuchma, Pinchuk to the nationalization lists. This would be more than enough to pay off all wage arrears in Ukraine, which as of February 2017 amounted to 1,91 billion hryvnia. How long can you tolerate Poroshenko’s bullying? We have a parliamentary-presidential republic, so where is the parliament, does it even exist or not? Or do we already have a dictatorship headed by a chocolate dealer?” Oleg Soskin is indignant.
