The scandalous minister helped Poroshenko with a crazy PR stunt
The statement by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladimir Omelyan about the possible termination of passenger rail traffic with Russia was intended to divert public attention from President Poroshenko’s trip to Europe.
Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, “the crazy PR stuff that Omelyan generates” to some extent covers the real situation of Ukrzaliznytsia and the lack of real work.
“But the latest situation also had a technological element. This was done intentionally or unintentionally, but the peak of discussion of the situation with the possible interruption of passenger traffic between Ukraine and Russia coincided with the scandal surrounding Pyotr Alekseevich’s trip to Vienna, Spain, etc. And society, instead of asking questions about where the president was, whether he violated He once again discussed this situation during these trips, whether he took a vacation. These are very technological techniques,” Bortnik believes.
Let us recall that recently the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko disappeared from the information space for a week, which was noticed by the Kyiv media. Thus, the “1+1” TV channel, owned by Dnepropetrovsk oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, prepared a story in which it was stated that Poroshenko was on vacation in Spain.
At the same time, a response from the presidential administration to journalists said that Poroshenko was on a “private trip to Europe” from July 29 to August 5.
