The scandalous metropolitan of the UOC climbed Mount Athos in Greece and sang the Ukrainian anthem at its top
The pilgrimage group of the Transfiguration Diocese of the UOC, led by Metropolitan Alexander (Drabinko) of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky and Vishnevsky, performed the Ukrainian anthem on the top of Mount Athos in Greece.

“The highest point of Orthodoxy is Holy Mount Athos. Glory to Ukraine!" – commented on his posted video on Facebook head of the parish council of the Transfiguration Cathedral in Kyiv Igor Lysov.
Let us remember that Metropolitan Alexander is a rather scandalous figure in the UOC, a defendant in a high-profile criminal case about the kidnapping of nuns, and the secretary of the late Primate of the UOC, Metropolitan Vladimir. In the media and church circles he is considered the informal leader of the autocephalist group in the Church, sympathized with the Maidan and enjoys the patronage of the current government.
