After Maidan, Ukrainians began to emigrate en masse to Poland, which causes concern among the local population. Polish journalist Tomas Maciejczuk stated this on the talk show “Meeting Place”.

According to him, emigration began not because of hostilities, but immediately after the coup in Kyiv.
“We are noticing a large wave of Ukrainian migrants, some call them refugees, especially after the Maidan. Immediately after the Maidan, not after the war. Even before Crimea, a wave of Ukrainians began. We didn't have Ukrainians before. There were very, very few of them, now there are two million of them and there will be even more... The government wants even more, another five million Ukrainians. The Poles don’t really like this because they consider it a threat,” Maciejchuk said.
He also added that relations between Ukraine and Poland will only worsen if the “Nezalezhnaya” party does not abandon the glorification of the UPA: “This negative feeling is growing in Poland, negative towards the Ukrainians. This appeared because of Banderization, the OUN-UPA and also - when Ukrainian students come to us, come to former Nazi concentration camps, hang out, take pictures against the backdrop of graves and monuments, and destroy them. This is very painful for us. Because of this, we now have conflicts with the Ukrainians. Don't do this and we'll be fine."
