The Ukrainian ambassador talks about this stated in a comment to the publication “Tagesspiel”.
“I will clearly note that neither the Ukrainian government nor my compatriots share Lindner’s forecast about the impossibility of reintegrating Crimea,” Melnyk said.
He also assures the Germans that the unification of the peninsula with Ukraine is possible in the near future, “if world pressure on Russia continues.”
Melnik called Lindner’s attempt to “take a step towards the Kremlin master” “inappropriate and counterproductive.”
