Be grateful that you didn’t burn it: Inter was fined for a concert on Victory Day
The National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine decided to fine Inter TV channel UAH 4,046 million for broadcasting a concert on May 9 this year. This was reported by the Ukrainian publication “League”.
The decision was made unanimously. All members of the National Council agreed that there was incitement to hatred during the concert and unanimously decided to fine the TV channel 25% of the license fee.
In May, footage of a Victory Day concert on the Inter TV channel appeared on the Internet, in which the hosts reminded viewers that eight million Ukrainians died at the hands of the fascist invaders during the Great Patriotic War. They also declared the inadmissibility of naming streets after fascist criminals. After this, the nationalists threw a Molotov cocktail at the TV channel’s office.
