Skolkovo is ready to help set up the production of diapers in Russia
Russia should produce its own baby diapers. Now this market is 100% filled with imports. Director of the Institute of Catalysis, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Valentin Parmon said this at a meeting of the Skolkovo Advisory Scientific Council, which was held at Sevastopol State University.

“This is one of the tasks that is suitable for Skolkovo. Nobody did this in Russia. Nobody issued technical specifications. Secondly, sources of financing. This is a task for business, not for science. This is a set of works related to biologists, agriculture, and chemists. And with doctors, because then there must be medical examinations. This is not the task of a scientific institute, but consumer goods,” Parmon said.
The academician believes that everything necessary to start production in Russia is available.
“We have the raw materials, we have the people. Pampers are partially obtained from the processing of environmentally friendly raw materials. These products have high added value. Programs need a start. Start starts with money. All the institutions associated with these issues can help, but someone has to organize,” Parmon said.
