The guy who openly stated during the investigation and in court that in Moscow police officers regularly extort bribes for the slightest offenses, and this has become a common occurrence there, was burned by the integrity of the newly minted Sevastopol police officers.

The official wording of the charge was that the convict did not want to be brought to administrative responsibility for drug use, for which he offered the laptop to the law enforcement officer.

In fact, the accused brought a laptop to a police officer so that he would not hand over materials to revoke his driver’s license for driving while intoxicated.

The press services of law enforcement agencies were not aware or simply kept silent about the fact that the future bribe-giver himself called the police, becoming a victim of a robber who first drugged him with some unknown substance, and then, taking advantage of his helpless state, stole property.

The young man was in his car on the territory of one of the gardening partnerships in the area of Cape Fiolent and was not moving anywhere in this car and had no intention of going. The police officers, suspecting that he was intoxicated, invited him to go to the Sevastopol city psychiatric hospital for an examination, while allowing him to drive his car, which actually forced him to commit an offense and, in fact, endangered the life and health of other participants traffic along the entire route. Already there, having laboratory confirmed the validity of their suspicions, they called the traffic police officers, although what prevented them from doing this right away remained unknown.

Numerous violations of job descriptions and other regulations by police officers allowed the Muscovite to make a hasty conclusion about their corruption and offer a bribe.

Taking into account the characterizing data about the defendant’s personality, the reasoned position of the defense, which insisted that the crime was facilitated by the negative image of the police officers and the difficult life circumstances that prompted the commission of the crime, the court imposed almost the minimum punishment provided for by the Criminal Code for committing this crime - a fine of 300 thousand . rubles, which the defendant planned to pay immediately after the verdict entered into legal force. The state prosecutor asked for a slightly more severe punishment, but also in the form of a fine, so the question of punishment in the form of imprisonment was not even raised at the court hearing.

However, Alexey, that’s the guy’s name, was very worried about everything that happened, especially those publications in the media where he was called a “drug addict” and presented as a deeply asocial element of society. He did not live until the verdict came into force for only 3 days.
