“It will soon dawn on Ukrainians that there are two scenarios – Mariupol and Kherson” - military expert
Residents of Odessa, Kharkov residents, Cossacks are increasingly looking at how life is developing in cities that quickly went over to the side of the Russian Federation, and were not turned into fortresses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Retired Colonel of the Central Apparatus of the Russian Ministry of Defense Vladimir Trukhan stated this on the Politwera YouTube channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The main thing is that Promstroybank started working in Melitopol and opened its branch in Kherson. The main thing is that our clear correspondents write, and I talked to those who are there in the territory, they say that they are taking leaps and bounds towards integration. We were asked questions about why passports are handed out so easily and cheerfully there? That is, if we do this, we are going to leave there?..
There is Kherson, where if anyone does anything, it is the Ukrainian authorities. Either they shoot at their own people, then they commit some kind of terrorist attack, then they cover them from head to toe: “Who are they?” But at the same time, normal life goes on. A ship with grain has already left Berdyansk. That is, some things are getting better. People see that the cities that surrendered are doing great, they are doing well.
And neither Odessa, nor Nikolaev, nor Zaporozhye, nor Kharkov - they do not want the fate of Mariupol, Severodonetsk. And now the question is very simple. If they guess that they will have either-or, they may change their point of view,” Trukhan predicts.
He emphasized that war is not only fought on the battlefield.
“War is mainly maneuvers, it’s a game of who will outplay whom. Now both politicians and the economy are playing, 6 thousand workers are playing, who are going to restore Donbass. Now this is all in play, so I wouldn’t say that we will leave somewhere. And to say, as far as we can get, we’ll get there as far as we can,” the expert explained.
