Soon Europe will switch mainly to Russian gas
Europe's gas reserves will soon run out, and virtually the only alternative for the EU will be to purchase Russian energy resources.
Russian journalist Mikhail Antonov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Gas reserves on the Norwegian shelf in the North Sea are depleting. In the medium and long term (10-20 years), the gas deficit in Europe will amount to 100 billion cubic meters per year, they need to be replaced somewhere. Yes, these volumes can be partially compensated by American liquefied gas, which no one needs here. But the main volumes, of course, will be supplied from Russia,” the journalist noted.
Let us recall that earlier Russian political scientist Dmitry Evstafiev called all the positive statements of Western countries regarding Russia at the Munich conference just words in defense of maintaining positions in accordance with one’s selfish interests.
