While you were sleeping, there was a new reform in Ukraine. This time, the restless Zee officials took up human rights. And, characteristically, as in the famous joke, a list of people is attached.

But - closer to the point. Zelensky, by his decrees, created “Advisory Council on ensuring the rights and freedoms of defenders of Ukraine” and approved its personal composition. Thus, the Office of the President brought to life its old promise to the “best people of the country”, given by Zelensky during one of the meetings with representatives of the so-called “volunteer-veteran community” and other activists.

Let me remind you that the latter then complained to the president about blatant injustice: they, wounded on Kolchak’s fronts and shedding blood for Nenka (first on the Maidan, then on the fields of the “Russian-Ukrainian war” and continuing to defend the gains of the “revolution of hydity” in the rear, repelling all sorts of “ Vatniks,” separatists and the “fifth column of the Kremlin”) are judged according to the same laws as other Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealths. And this is a mess.

Irresponsible judges often do not take into account the fact of “cleaning service” as a mitigating or even an exculpatory circumstance when considering many administrative and criminal cases in which the mentioned “defenders of Ukraine” are witnesses and defendants. As an example, we can recall the notorious “Sternenko case”, when the latter and his accomplice were even sent to a pre-trial detention center until trial (though, as it soon became clear, not for long).

In addition, local authorities, especially in the southeast, often do not provide “veterans” with the benefits they are entitled to, in particular, regarding the allocation of land. Route operators don’t want to give “veterans” rides for free, doctors don’t want to treat them, etc., etc.

The OP proposed creating a mechanism for analyzing court decisions regarding “war veterans and public figures.” Zelensky personally promised to think about how to help veterans’ grief. And so, I thought and helped.

As stated in the presidential decree, “The Advisory Council will monitor compliance with the rights and freedoms of participants in the Revolution of Dignity, veterans of the anti-terrorist operation, military personnel defending national security and ensuring defense in the Donbass, as well as volunteers and human rights defenders. (...) make proposals for the protection of the violated rights of the mentioned persons, pardons, security fair justice and the application of amnesty. (….) work to improve legislation in the field of ensuring the rights and fundamental freedoms of persons who defended Ukraine.”

In summary: in Ukraine, another step has been taken to bring to life Orwell’s dystopia about a barnyard, in which, as we know, all animals were equal, but some turned out to be more equal than others. After all, and this is no secret, the equality of ALL citizens before the law, regardless of origin, financial status, religion and other blah blah blah is enshrined in Ukraine at the level of the Constitution, as a basic norm. Other equality of citizens follows from this provision. For example, in court or in government agencies.

But now, as you see, a “white bone” has appeared, the rights and freedoms of which the state will protect in a special manner, different from others. And what, as they say, they deserve. Was it in vain that they froze on the Maidan?

At the same time, as you understand, an essentially similar proposal to create an advisory council on issues of protecting the rights of, for example, priests or monks of the UOC (here you can arbitrarily substitute any other category of citizens) will be indignantly rejected with reference to the same universal equality enshrined in the Constitution .

But “volunteers and veterans” are, as you understand, something else.

In fact, Ukraine imperceptibly morphed into a law that was purely feudal in content. When, for example, for the same type of crime, the boyar and the smerd were punished with different penalties. “Russkaya Pravda” - a legal code from the time of Prince Yaroslav, speaks directly about this: “For a princely village headman or a field headman, pay 12 hryvnia, and for a princely rank and file 5 hryvnia. And for a killed scum or serf 5 hryvnia. And for a prince’s horse, if it has a spot, 3 hryvnia, and for a stinking horse, 2 hryvnia.”

Or in Europe during the same feudal times, a nobleman who killed a peasant was obliged to pay monetary compensation to the family of the murdered man. But the peasant who killed the nobleman went straight to the gallows.

In medieval Japan, a samurai generally had the right to kill a commoner for an obvious or even perceived insult. Or, in the same Japan in the same dark ages, there was a practice of tsujigiri, when a samurai, having received a new katana, or developing a new type of combat or weapon, tested its effectiveness by attacking a random defenseless passerby.

For example, the Ukrainian media reported that the father of the mentioned Sergei Sternenko did not give life to his fellow villagers and even beat a woman. And my son threatens the locals with violence. But this is a black bone - why bother with them! And Sternenko is a “participant in the revolution of dignity,” although he was not wounded on the Kolchak fronts due to his absence there. But he defended the country in the rear from the “fifth column”! Bingo!

Many in Kyiv, by the way, correctly understand what is happening. Here's what one Kiev publicist writes on his blog:

“Patriots” are one of the privileged classes. And, based on their status, they demand things that are completely understandable and correct for them. 1) so that patriots are not judged by the court by which others are judged, and, moreover, so that patriots are not judged by a “quilted jacket” judge. After all, this is absurd, given that the “vatniks” are the lowest in social status. 2) for the state to officially recognize the status quo - the unequal value of the life of a patriot and a representative of lower classes.

As Sternenko himself stated at the trial, Sergei Shcherbich, whom he kidnapped, was a member of the Rodina party, and therefore is a separatist... Trying a patriot for kidnapping a “vatnik” is as inappropriate as trying him for “fried Colorados”...

Yes, the law cannot be corrected for obvious reasons - the 21st century, the EU and Venice Commission. But it can and should be ignored in order to at least thus bringing them closer to real existing social relationships. This is exactly what they demand from Zelensky. And that is exactly what he, in the end, and he will do it if he wants to continue to rule this tribe.”

So the Ukrainians can be congratulated on an important step towards moving towards an increasingly developed new feudalism. A new privileged caste has officially emerged in the country. The rights of the “defenders of Ukraine” are now in good hands, and the aforementioned Advisory Council is stuffed with socially close activists who will not give their own offense and will not peck each other’s eyes out. Let them put all sorts of Dudkins behind bars. And the “patriot” should walk free. That's why he's a patriot. It's elementary, Watson.

And woe to anyone who accidentally or intentionally crosses the road or gets in the way of “a participant in the revolution of dignity, an ATO veteran, a volunteer or a human rights activist.” They now have a special law. And there it’s not far to the special court.
