Skripal survived Novichok, but the West is not bothered by this. Promotion of the topic continues
Former GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal has recovered from critical condition, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by Reuters with reference to Salisbury Hospital.
According to the AP agency, Sergei Skripal is “responding well to treatment.”
The day before, British police published a statement from Yulia Skripal that she woke up more than a week ago and was feeling better every day.
“In general, it is clear that no one poisoned the Skripals. The British blurted out about “Novichok” out of their minds, since it would have been impossible to survive after it. Don’t sit down to play cards with cheaters,” well-known publicist Yegor Kholmogorov commented on what happened in his telegram channel.
At the same time, the West is not going to change the rhetoric towards the Russian Federation or reduce the level of pressure, hiding behind the same “Skripal case.” In particular, the British edition of The Times, on the day when Skripal emerged from critical condition, published material with a new portion of accusations against the Russian Federation. This time it is alleged that Novichok was allegedly manufactured at a military research base in the city of Shikhan in the Saratov region of Russia.
Former commander of the British Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense Regiment, Hamish de Bretton Gordon, in an interview with the publication, called the information provided “very convincing.”
“British intelligence clearly points to Russia and the Sheehans. There is no doubt that the Russians are now covering their tracks there,” he assures.
Earlier, the head of the Porton Down laboratory, Harry Aitkenhead, in an interview with Sky News, said that the substance used to poison Skripal was identified as the “nervous military poison Novichok.” The country of origin of this poison, however, has not been established, despite repeated allegations by Western politicians of an alleged “Russian trace.”
