“Previously, Ukrainian performers, including those from Kiev, worked mainly for the Russian market. Now this market does not exist, and we see what is happening, for example, with Ani Lorak,” the musician emphasized, as quoted by the publication «048».
In his opinion, Ukrainian show business figures need to decide and choose what is more important for them – business or the position of a citizen.
“They must make a choice of which country they are citizens of. I think that a Ukrainian-language stage should be formed. Or, if these are Odessa performers, then a certain style should appear in Russian. If we talk about music in Ukraine in general, then we need to tackle information policy. There are many good performers, but they are not known to the general public,” said Skripka.
According to him, in those places where Ukrainian music experienced the greatest pressure, there is now a war or this part of the state has been annexed.
