This was reported by Deputy Head of the Kyiv City Administration Alexey Reznikov on his Facebook page.
According to him, the commission has already voted to rename the park on the corner of Surikov Street and Vozdukhoflotsky Prospekt.
“Literally only the Commission on Naming Issues of the Kyiv City State Administration supported the initiative of the city mayor and unanimously voted to name the park on the corner of Surikov Street and Vozdukhoflotsky Prospekt in honor of Boris Nemtsov,” the message says.
As if “by chance,” the Russian Embassy is located next to the square.
