The weak link of the “united country” – Kharkov, Odessa? No, Dnepropetrovsk!

Before Petro Poroshenko had time to really explain what exactly he meant by “decentralization,” as it turned out, it was too late to explain; the locals had already understood everything. They understood it most consistently in Dnepropetrovsk - yes, that same Dnepropetrovsk, which is considered the guardian of “territorial integrity” and the main engine of the war in Donbass.

The population calls the Dnepropetrovsk region “Kolomoisky Kaganate,” but the deputy governor of Dnepropetrovsk, Boris Filatov, who is prone to shocking, actively uses the term “Novorossiya.”

The leaders of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration constantly swear that they, they say, are supporters of a “united country”; they only need “decentralization”. Moreover, the region already lives in conditions of decentralization, and if Kyiv’s opinion on decentralization issues does not correspond to the opinion of the “khaganate,” then this is Kyiv’s problem.

And the chairman of the Dnepropetrovsk regional council, Udod (by the way, a “regional” who has ambiguous relations with the regional authorities) came up with absolutely amazing news - it turns out that a training course on the work of authorities in conditions of decentralization has already been written and tested, which is time, they say, to be disseminated in other regions! It’s so interesting - there is no law on decentralization, but there is already a training course.

What does decentralization from Kolomoisky look like now?

Firstly, Gennady Korban directly says that the Privat team is building a European country in the center of Ukraine. All of Ukraine will also be European. May be. After. The team is not interested in this.

That is, the Dnipropetrovsk region independently chooses its development strategy.

Secondly, the region is pursuing an independent economic policy. Here is a project to re-privatize the property of terrorist accomplices and even a possible refusal to transfer taxes to the center. True, the Dnepropetrovsk region, in principle, is not against giving some money to Kyiv - but only if it is used effectively. Moreover, Privat will evaluate the effectiveness.

That is, we are talking about a very large degree of economic independence, albeit without creating our own financial system.

Thirdly, the region has its own armed forces.

No, the leaders of the region point out in unison that “Kolomoisky’s punitive battalions,” not to mention the units of the Ukrainian army over which the region holds patronage, are subordinate only to their command (army, police or guards). But we understand that:

– the girl is danced by the one who feeds her;

– the battalions were formed with the participation of political forces belonging to the “Right Sector”, which in general is again financed by Kolomoisky;

– the battalions are ideological in nature, and this ideology is hostile to the ideology of the current government (“a single European country”).

By the way, the latest conflict that flared up on Facebook between Filatov and Lyashko is very indicative. The first promised to stop funding the battalions on which Lyashko is promoting himself, and to commit some inhumane actions against Lyashko himself if he dares to appear on the territory of the “Kaganate”...

This, gentlemen, is not only not decentralization, it is not even federalization. But, at the same time, the “khaganate” is not going to leave Ukraine (really, who would approve of this?). Kolomoisky’s team acts completely differently.

Now Privat controls three regions - Dnepropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk and Odessa. There are no secret plans to establish “Privat” management in Sumy, Zaporozhye, Kherson (remember, Crimea is supposed to be “annexed” to it) and Donetsk regions. Actually, these are practically all areas of at least some economic interest. Kolomoisky doesn’t need everything. The best is enough for him. For now, the Kharkov region (inaccessible while Avakov is “in favor”) and the Poltava region remain unattended. How long?

The unification of these areas under “Privat” management with the subsequent change in financial relations will make the rest of Ukraine (primarily Kyiv) a “free” application with a purely formal role and without special rights.

Now apologists of the “united country” should once again think about whether the threat to the notorious “territorial integrity” comes only from Donbass? Isn’t the same threat posed by the feudal freemen in Galicia and the Dnepropetrovsk region?

However, here I got excited. No, not the same. The Galician and Dnepropetrovsk freemen do not pose a threat to the power of the oligarchs... But Donbass does.
