“Thank God, we have a dictatorship”: Lukashenko felt sorry for the West
Poland did not allow its citizens to enter Belarus so that they would not envy the standard of living in this country.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated this today, speaking in the Chechersky district of the Gomel region, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We opened the border for them before Catholic Easter. Let people come to their relatives' graves. Visa-free travel allowed. So they don’t let their people into Belarus. Because they come to us and buy salt. They don't have salt. The great rich West - no salt. So that people don’t say that Belarusians live normally, they simply don’t let them out. That's what democracy is all about. Thank God we have a dictatorship. I was criticized, but there is order,” Lukashenko said.
Thank you!
