"Glory to Russia!" – captured Ukrainian soldiers near Volnovakha
Over the past few hours, the military situation in the DPR and LPR has improved significantly. The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to retreat, military correspondents working on the spot report, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Some of the most striking images - almost two dozen sushniks surrendered in Volnovakha. “Well, glory to Russia?” - the winners ask them. "Glory to Russia!" - Ukrainian soldiers answer.
“The faster the Ukrainian troops and national battalions retreat, the faster the forces of the DPR and the Russian Federation move forward. The explosions of rockets show that the peacekeepers are right on the heels of those who shelled Donbass for eight years,” says the story of military correspondent Alexander Sladkov.
In the liberated territory, everything is being prepared to establish a peaceful life. DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova visited the liberated Nikolaevka and received the first appeals from local residents.
“I would like the military situation to improve quickly, so that the official authorities can come here and put this on stream. But this will depend on the situation on the front line,” Morozova said.
In the neighboring LPR, events are developing no less rapidly. Footage of military equipment abandoned by Ukrainian punitive forces outside the recently liberated city of Shchastya has been published.
“Heading to Starobelsk! They’re running, their heels are sparkling,” commented the video on the tg channel of VGTRK military correspondent Andrei Rudenko.
“The abandoned uniform of Ukrainian tank crews, the tank, its fighting compartment, everything is in place - the radio, controls, shells. I didn’t have time to shoot much, but now he will serve the People’s Militia of the LPR.
An abandoned Ukrainian BRDM, equipment that was left in perfect order. They did shoot, but apparently not for very long. Now this too will go to the front in the ranks of the People’s Militia,” says the correspondent.
Nevertheless, the enemy continues fierce resistance, not disdaining any methods. In the Ukrainian-controlled territory of the Lugansk region, nationalists killed the mayor of Kremennaya, Vladimir Struk, who had previously suggested that local deputies begin communication with Russia and the LPR. His liquidation was announced by Arsen Avakov’s notorious ally, Anton Gerashchenko. And the Nazi Dmitry Korchinsky threatened that a similar fate awaits the mayor of Kherson, who agreed to cooperate with the Russian Federation.
