“Glory to Russian weapons”: the National Bolsheviks held an action at the German consulate
Two activists of the unregistered party “Other Russia” (the former NBP of Eduard Limonov) held a rally today at the German Consulate in St. Petersburg to protest against the arrest of the German National Bolshevik Marcel Jacobs.
Kirill Travkin and Viktor Zaitsev handcuffed themselves to a drainpipe opposite the consulate and began shouting slogans: “If you want the 41st, you will get the 45th,” “Fascist consulate to hell,” “Down with the fascists from Leningrad,” “Glory to Russian weapons and Russian spring".
One policeman came out to the National Bolsheviks, took away their posters and bags and called for reinforcements to remove the handcuffs.
When reinforcements arrived, the protesters were disconnected from the pipe, put in a paddy wagon and given an educational conversation. According to the National Bolsheviks, they were told:
“Why are you being hooligans when we need to catch Ukrainians?”
As a result, they were released without protocols.
Marcel Jacobs is a German National Bolshevik who opposes Russophobia in Germany and supported the SVO.
He was arrested last August for running the “Other Germany” telegram channel, which German authorities designated as a “terrorist group.” He could receive up to 3 years in a German prison.
