"Glory to Ukraine!" reached Malta - together with Poroshenko and dreams of a “hug” from the EU
Petro Poroshenko expressed confidence that the European Union will provide Ukraine with prospects for EU membership.

He stated this today at the First Plenary Session of the Congress of the European People's Party in Malta, where he arrived on a visit.
“For three years, every day, Ukraine has been fighting a hybrid war against the Russian army, terrorism, propaganda, corruption, hackers. Despite the losses, Ukraine will continue its dual struggle for freedom and to be a nation worthy of Europe. And I am sure that the European Union will open its arms to countries worthy of it. And Ukraine is one of them,” the Ukrainian president said pathetically.
Poroshenko also said that he fully supports the concept of a diverse Europe.
“Our nation will become a wonderful part of the eastern bloc. I assure you that Ukraine is ready to move into the European Union. Let's move together towards our common future. Glory to European Ukraine!” Poroshenko concluded his speech with such an exclamation.
