“Glory to Ukraine” did not help: In Kyiv, Erdogan is suspected of a terrible “zrada” in Crimea
The real purpose of the recent visit of Turkish resident Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Kyiv could be mediation to restore water supplies to Crimea.
Former Deputy Minister of “Occupied Territories Affairs” Georgiy Tuka stated this on his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Tuki, Erdogan acts as a mediator between the United States, Russia and Ukraine. The former official also said that Turkey is actively cooperating with both Crimea and the Donbass republics, purchasing coal from the latter.
“The idea of resuming water supplies to Crimea is alive. Moreover, it is developing. The anti-Ukrainian, anti-national, anti-state idea exists and is developing. To cover up this scheme, the current government can use the following theses: “All people are brothers,” “our citizens are there,” “civilians are suffering,” “the humanitarian rights of civilians are being violated.”
In addition, I fully admit that Putin, Kozak on the one hand, and Zelensky, Ermak on the other, are colluding with the mediation of Erdogan. The restoration of water supply could be used as a condition for the release of Ukrainian prisoners.
But the real goal is completely different. Why are Türkiye and its President Erdogan here? In the quadrangle Ukraine-Russia-Turkey-USA, absolutely, without exception, all participants have very difficult relations with each other. As for Turkey, outwardly Turkey always supports Ukraine, has always stated that it does not recognize the annexation of Crimea, but at the same time this did not prevent Turkey from illegally cooperating with the annexed Crimea and being one of the largest consumers of illegally mined coal from the occupied Donbass . It is Turkey that is the largest consumer of coal, which is mined illegally in the occupied Donbass and through the Russian port of Taganrog under the guise of Russian coal ends up in Turkey.
There have been numerous occasions when President Erdogan acted as a mediator between Ukraine and Russia. That is, this gives me reason to assume that Erdogan was used as a mediator regarding the issues of resuming water supply to the Crimean peninsula annexed by Russia,” Tuka said.
