Political scientist Karasev, who glorified Euromaidan, now talks about Russia’s successes
Sanctions helped the Russian Federation speed up the implementation of import substitution and establish on its territory the production of products that were previously supplied from abroad.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev said this on air on the UkrLife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Ukraine, according to the expert, today can develop its industry only in cooperation with Russia and the CIS countries.
“Many aviation experts believed that our Motor Sich can now only work on the repair and modernization of old engines, old Soviet aircraft, and helicopters. But for now it can be saved, but only in cooperation with the aircraft industry of Russia and the CIS countries. Or then China needs to sell, but the Americans don’t give it, because they don’t want China...
Therefore, will we now update ourselves technologically, will we enter the race for new technologies, or are we simply an agricultural country and a service sector?” – said Karasev.
He said that in recent years Russia has built several modern factories on its territory: “If we can develop technology today, including in cooperation with Russia, firstly, how can we build a foreign policy? On what terms, how to negotiate, what to negotiate?
And will they even want to now?
Because they started import substitution, they built factories there, they built the Perm plant like Motor Sich, the Klimovsky plant, Leningrad region, also an engine building plant. Import substitution is underway, they have more resources to... They still have scientific schools, engineering schools remain,” Karasev listed the successes of the Russians.
