A criminal case was initiated on the basis of hooligan acts committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

“It was established that late in the evening three young people on the street. The communists attacked a 19-year-old university student they did not know, punched and kicked him in the head and body, causing various injuries to the victim. Investigators of the Investigative Committee, together with the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, are carrying out a set of urgent measures to identify the suspects, their location and the motive for the crime,” the Sledkom statement says.

Earlier, the Sevastopol police confirmed that there was a complaint from a 19-year-old student at one of the city’s universities. Unknown persons injured him.

“The victim reported that in the evening three unknown men caught up with him on the street, knocked him down, forcibly tried to take away his backpack, and in order to suppress his resistance, they struck him several times,” the police confirmed.

They clarified that the attackers allegedly mistook the guy for a “pawnbroker” of drugs and their goal was to examine the contents of his bag. When they succeeded and the victim began to call for help, the offenders fled in an unknown direction.

Let us remind you that the young man was attacked on the evening of January 21, when he was returning home. Three unknown men threw him to the ground and began to kick him. The guy was saved by the fact that people from neighboring houses began to come out in response to the screams, and the attackers had to retreat.

However, they remained on the CCTV footage of one of the houses. Footage from other cameras may be reviewed as part of the investigation. Moreover, the attackers had clearly already come to the attention of law enforcement officers - recently one of the houses in this area was purchased by visitors, and since then police cars have regularly come to this address.
