The investigator opened a case against Ukrainian saboteurs
The Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case into explosion of a road overpass in Lugansk, used on the route of the humanitarian convoy of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
This was stated by official representative of the department Svetlana Petrenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to her, the case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 361 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – “Committing an explosion, arson or other actions outside the territory of the Russian Federation that endanger the life, health, freedom or integrity of citizens of the Russian Federation.”
“On September 19, 2019, unidentified persons, carrying out obviously criminal orders from representatives of the highest political and military leadership of Ukraine, detonated three explosive devices installed on bridge supports near the intersection of Lutuginskaya and 1st Keramicheskaya streets in the city of Lugansk. It was over this bridge that after some time the 86th humanitarian convoy of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, consisting of 10 trucks, was supposed to pass.
According to the investigation, this crime was aimed at disrupting the supply of humanitarian aid to residents of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic from the Russian Federation.
Illegal actions endangered the life and health of citizens of the Russian Federation - employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations who were part of the humanitarian convoy, and were directed against the interests of the Russian Federation,” Petrenko noted.
