“The next phase of the conflict will break out in Donbass” – Ukrainian people’s deputy
Increasing the rating of Russian President Vladimir Putin was not the goal of “aggression” in the Kerch Strait; moreover, by spring we should expect a new escalation on the part of the LDPR.
Verkhovna Rada deputy from the “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” Vadim Denisenko stated this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavirator correspondent reports.
“I categorically disagree with those experts who see in the current escalation Putin’s desire to increase his rating. In fact, he has it above 60%, and there will be no elections in the near future. This version, at a minimum, is not the most important for the Russian Federation. The Russians deliberately aggravated the situation, showing not so much to their voters, but to the EU and the United States that they did not care about future statements and threats. De facto, Lavrov, who spoke about passing the point of no return, said about the Russian Federation that they are now ready for any open actions on the territory of Ukraine,” the deputy said.
The next acute phase of the conflict, according to the Kyiv deputy, should be expected by spring, and its catalyst will be the DPR and LPR, which will be assisted by the Russian Armed Forces.
“As for me, the scenario that can be predicted is the following: now the situation will be heated up in the media for a certain period of time, but in the relatively short term the situation may be somewhat unstable. But closer to spring we may get an acute phase again. The catalyst for the next escalation should be the “legitimate” DPR and LPR, and here the regular troops of the Russian Federation may become involved and come to the aid of the “young republics”. In fact, Putin’s tactics or even strategy will be to “force Ukraine to comply with the rules of the Russian Federation,” Denisenko concluded.
