“Next time we need to make a hole”: NATO is preparing a new provocation
The provocation with the invasion of a British Navy destroyer into the territorial waters of the Russian Federation is not the first in recent months. In the near future we can expect a repetition of similar violations of the Russian border.
Publicist Nikolai Starikov stated this on air on the NTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The voyage of this destroyer is a “test for coronavirus”, it is a test for Russia to see how widespread the virus of defeatism is in our country, they decided to take it “weakly”. In October 2020, an American destroyer made exactly the same story, only in Peter the Great Bay in the Far East.
The scenario is approximately the same - our territorial waters, which the Americans believe are not ours, and in exactly the same way: they come in, our ships accompany them, only then there was no shooting. The Americans' explanation is exactly the same - we, a peaceful warship, were just sailing for ourselves.
They enter our waters, no one bothers them, and they allegedly change course completely voluntarily. Just like here: they want to show that we have come, and we don’t care what the Russians did,” Starikov said.
He predicts a repetition of the provocation.
“This test is being done against the background of what Geneva is going through, statements are appearing that there is a “spirit of Geneva,” that is, an illusion is being created that they are backing down a little, and it is possible to come to an agreement with them. This is a test of the Russian political elite, how tough the response will be, how tough the signal will be sent further. The signal is strong, they were shooting.
If they try again (I think they will conduct another test in six months), then they really need to leave a hole. So that there is no doubt that the course that the president is demonstrating is defending our national interests, the elite will support him, and we will not give any slack,” the publicist added.
