Tears in my eyes: Zelensky picked up nonsense about beaten “children”
Vladimir Zelensky made another statement in the spirit of his predecessor Petro Poroshenko on the sixth anniversary of the “severe beating of students by Berkut on the Maidan, which “stirred up the entire society.”
“There weren't many of them. They stayed overnight on Maidan not for the sake of future portfolios or mandates, not to earn political points or dividends, but only for one thing - a happy future for their country.
They were the same romantics who make a revolution, the fruits of which are then, as we know, used by scoundrels.
Today we hardly mention the names of the direct participants in those events that actually forced Ukraine to wake up and became the starting point of great transformations. Where are they now? Are you still in Ukraine? After the Revolution of Dignity, did you get the opportunity to govern the country and implement changes?
Next week, I would really like to meet with the students who were on the Maidan on the night of November 29-30, 2013,” Zelensky said.
Thus, the new president continues to falsify the events that marked the beginning of the coup. If you study the lists of those detained after the clash with Berkut on the Maidan that night, you will find that the majority of the participants in the clash were far from being of student age.
Another attempt by Zelensky to flirt with Euromaidan militants will not save him from the threat of a new coup, lawyer Andrei Portnov comments on the announced meeting with the affected students, recalling that the reason for the harsh actions of Berkut was the provocation of nationalists against the security forces.
“And be sure to call those who threw a burning log at the police officers. These are very important people, they need to be accepted at the highest political level. To encourage this phenomenon for the future,” Portnov sarcastically comments.
Kiev journalist Vladimir Boyko, in turn, recalls that the student Maidan was sponsored by Viktor Yanukovych’s entourage, interested in weakening the then president, namely, Sergei Levochkin, head of the office of the head of state.
“I wonder if Zelensky will also invite Sergei Lyovochkin, who ordered and paid for the “student Maidan”, to the meeting?” - Boyko notes, adding that it was from Lyovochkin that the instigator of future unrest, Mustafa Nayem, received money at the first stage.
