Broken slides, swings and benches ruin holidays in St. Petersburg parks
With the arrival of hot days, many St. Petersburg residents prefer to spend time in parks and squares, sitting with a book, walking with friends or children. Unfortunately, due to oversight by the city government, outdoor recreation is often ruined. City residents are massively complaining about broken street furniture, sports equipment, swings and children's slides, which are not only unusable, but can also cause injury.
There are especially many complaints about children's and sports grounds in garden and park areas. St. Petersburg residents report faulty swings, exercise equipment and flooring, demanding that dangerous elements be put in order.

To confirm this, the applicant attached photographs of numerous gaps, which, if caught, could dislocate a joint or break a leg.
There are also complaints about playgrounds for little ones. Children who decide to ride on faulty swings or slides may fall and be injured.
“In the forest park along Tambasova Street, the children’s slide is in disrepair. There are missing boards on the floor. At the moment they are covered with a rubber coating. This problem is a direct threat to the health of our children,” reported Zulfiya.
Broken benches asked repair in the Moscow region. Judging by the photo, evening “get-togethers” in St. Petersburg parks are often uncomfortable and even fraught with splinters. Some benches have no seats at all.
