Sobchak’s words turned out to be big surprises for Ukraine
Repeated statements by Ksenia Sobchak regarding the status of Crimea could have big consequences for Ukraine, political scientist Vladimir Kornilov sarcastically notes in his blog.

“What a wonderful idea Sobchak expressed! Since the self-determination of Crimea had to be decided by the whole of Ukraine, and not just Crimea, then it is logical to assume that the self-determination of Ukraine should have been decided by the entire USSR, and not just Ukraine. Isn't that right?
Therefore, it is necessary to support this initiative and hold two “international referendums” at once: on the same day to re-vote the independence of Ukraine and the question of the ownership of Crimea. But so that the calculation is carried out on an aggregate basis in Russia and Ukraine. After all, this is the logic of Sobchak’s idea, right?” – writes Kornilov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Let's hold two referendums. And Crimea will confirm its status, and Ukraine will return to Russia,” the expert suggests.
