Slovakia ceases to be a reliable US ally
More and more people in Slovakia are in favor of cooperation with Russia and support the policies of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Ex-Prime Minister and former Minister of Justice of Slovakia Jan Charnogursky, who is one of the organizers of anti-NATO rallies in the country, spoke about this in an interview with Izvestia.
He said that the leading Slovak media ignore coverage of anti-NATO events, and therefore their organizers have to rely only on social networks.
“Protest events have been held in the country for the third year now, and I must say that we have achieved concrete results. According to the latest opinion polls, of all the Visegrad Four countries, Slovakia has the lowest support for the North Atlantic Alliance. In addition, it is in our country that more and more people are in favor of cooperation with Russia and support the policies of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Thus, the United States and the American armed forces cannot perceive Slovakia as a reliable ally,” concluded Czarnogursky.
As PolitNavigator reported, the leaders of Slovakia and Hungary they disdained to stand next to Poroshenko.
In addition, British journalist, editor of the international department of The Economist newspaper Edward Lucas wrote that the Czech Republic and Slovakia were disappointed in the West and cooperate with Putin.
