The phrase “Ukrainian shipbuilding” has sunk into history
Unlike Russia, Ukraine has completely lost its shipbuilding industry, is not able to build new ships for the Navy, and those purchases of boats from the United States only serve to enrich individuals.
Pavel Rudyakov, head of the Perspektiva information and analytical center, told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this, commenting on the laying of two large landing ships for the Russian Navy in Sevastopol.
“Shipbuilding no longer exists in Ukraine – neither civil nor military. Ukraine has already lost this industry. Everything that is said on this topic is propaganda.
We simply do not have the physical capabilities to build new ships for the Ukrainian Navy. The purchase of American boats, which we talk about so much, belongs rather to the area of commerce.
Some people make money from this, but this does not affect the combat effectiveness of the fleet and the security of the country,” the expert noted.
