The post, which appeared on Tuesday morning for 10 minutes on Dmitry Medvedev’s VKontakte page, caused a serious reaction in the media and social networks of Kazakhstan. As one might expect, pro-government bloggers and politicians showed the greatest activity.

Let us remember that we are talking about a publication on the page of the ex-president of Russia, where Kazakhstan was called an “artificial state” and it was said that after “the liberation of Kyiv and all the territories of Little Russia,” Russia will go to reconquer its other lands.

Despite the fact that Dmitry Medvedev’s assistants had already reported that his page had been hacked, this did not stop full-time and professional Russophobes of all stripes. The first to react, as everyone already knows, was Azat Peruashev, the head of the right-wing liberal parliamentary party “Ak Zhol” (“Bright Path”), whose members constantly advocated for the renaming of all Russian names of cities and the adoption of a law on the “Holodomor”.

This time he burst into hysterics that in response Kazakhstan could demand from Russia the return of tribute for 500 years as a tributary of the Golden Horde, but does not do this. Therefore, such expressions about the artificiality of the Kazakh state are unfair.

Such verbal outpourings from the nominal leader of the puppet party were dictated by the animal fear of the ruling elite, which was relayed through this politician, nominated by Nazarbayev.

This was expressed in his following expression:

“The appearance of such stuffing is no longer a joke. This is not “verbal diarrhea” of unrestrained TV presenters or individual local deputies. We are talking about the ex-president of a neighboring country, that is, a person with seemingly extensive political experience.”

At the same time, Akzhol members vowed to get an official response from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the government to the post of the ex-president of Russia, but these attempts of the offended parliamentarians ran into the logic of foreign policy officials, who simply had nothing to say about the conclusion of this post, which was removed from the page within 10 years. ten minutes.

Thus, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aibek Smadiyarov, somewhat cooled down the hotheads, admitting that Nur-Sultan simply does not have any possible leverage over Moscow.

“Do you want us to comment on a deleted post? Maybe we can wait for comments from them and not run ahead of the locomotive? If the post is deleted, then wait for an explanation from him first. If nothing happens, then contact us,” Smadiyarov responded to a request from journalists and deputies.

Meanwhile, Akorda’s “chain dogs”—the court national patriots—reacted. Thus, Mukhtar Taizhan, a leader of the national-ecological movement Antiheptyl, who had repeatedly announced his retirement from politics, suddenly became bolder and spoke about the need for true radical nationalists to come to power. Apparently he meant himself.

Natsik Mukhtar Taizhan during the Maidan in Kyiv

“I doubt whether our authorities will be able to respond adequately. Weak and cowardly people gathered there, since for the last 20 years the selection there was based on other qualities - loyalty to Nazarbayev and his family and fawning over the authorities. A change of elites is needed; at the helm of power, instead of compradors and opportunists, nationalists in the correct understanding of the word - patriots of Kazakhstan - should stand at the helm of power,” Taizhan writes on his Facebook page.

Another Natsik is Arman Shoraev, who was on the political council of the ruling Nur-Otan party, headed the KTK TV channel, worked at the main state TV channel Khabar, was the head of Nursultan Nazarbayev’s election headquarters in one of the campaigns, and the closest associate of Elbasy’s eldest daughter Dariga traditionally and expectedly accused Russia in the long-term genocide of the Kazakh people. Allegedly, during 300 years of colonization by Moscow, the flower of the nation perished.

“You tried to exterminate my people, you killed them, starved them, millions, hundreds of thousands, but we survived, we survived. I can say that all your horror stories are bullshit,” Shoraev says hysterically.

At the end, he literally demands that the authorities take prompt action against Dmitry Medvedev:

“I think that here our Prosecutor General’s Office, our Ministry of Foreign Affairs should do everything so that this idiot apologizes. And the fact that it was allegedly hacked is all bullshit.

Other pro-government publications, such as Arbat.media, tried to completely portray Dmitry Medvedev as an alcoholic, repeating the gossip of Moscow liberals, stooping to personal insults.

“It is worth noting that social networks and the media have been talking about Medvedev’s alcoholism for years. Russian political scientist Stanislav Belkovsky in an interview with the Gordon publication said that the alcohol addiction of the former Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev was one of the reasons for his resignation,” the publication writes in an article under the eloquent title: ““The Drunk Neighbor”: What They Say in Kazakhstan about Medvedev’s scandalous post.”

By the way, the irony is that Belkovsky himself is seriously ill with alcoholism.

Other semi-liberal Kazakh publications like The-village-kz.com и Esquire.kz cited the opinions of Ksenia Sobchak and blogger Ilya Varlamov, but in the titles of the articles they also mentioned the provocative nature of the post. Another status publication "Caravan", owned by Dariga Nazarbayeva and part of her media holding, also limited themselves to a dry listing of the event, but cited Tokayev’s words at the St. Petersburg forum in June, which is now replicated by all official Kazakh media.

“And back in June, at a plenary meeting of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that he had “some complaints about the statements of a number of Russian deputies about Kazakhstan,” which the president called incorrect and inaccurate. He also stated: “All hatred causes damage to our peoples and the Russian Federation itself. These statements are not very clear to me. As they say, “to whose mill is grist” are these figures who, in some strange way, sometimes comment on the decisions of the leadership of Kazakhstan or the events that are taking place in our country,” writes “Caravan”.

Against this background, there were also sober voices of some popular bloggers. So, newspaper journalist "Time" Mikhail Kozachkov, who has his own Telegram channel with 78 thousand subscribers, pointed out that the country is mired in socio-economic problems and conflicts that are ignored by officials. And trying to silence them on the information wave of debunking Medvedev will not work.

“In fact, we have enough problems within the country even without any Dimons. If you dig deeper, each region has its own hot spots, but the authorities stubbornly ignore them. For example, in Almaty for more than 15 years they have not been able to figure out who owns an entire residential complex built in an elite area of the city. People bought apartments there for huge sums of money, but they still can’t get housing,” the blogger writes.

And some pro-government bloggers, on orders from above, chose a different tactic, namely retaliatory blackmail and hints that Nur-Sultan will not participate in joint industrial projects. Thus, a political scientist previously associated with Western foundations and an ardent defender of American military biological laboratories in Kazakhstan, Marat Shibutov, called for abandoning cooperation with Rosatom in the construction of a nuclear power plant in the south of the republic.

“Plus, it is not very clear how Rosatom will build a nuclear power plant with EU and US sanctions on industrial equipment - first of all, there is no supply of CNC machines and spare parts for them, which puts all technological capacities at risk, plus the supply of transformers is under sanctions, electronics, fans, cables, refrigeration units and hundreds of other types of industrial products.

Of course, potential clients of Rosatom from the corporation would like to hear some answers to these questions, but so far there is only silence. Although I think that the same Uzbeks need answers right now - such large projects should not have the risk of failure. Against this background, South Korean and Chinese companies that are building nuclear power plants look somewhat more preferable,” writes the political scientist and part-time blogger.

In fact, this attack should be considered precisely as an informal response to Moscow through a tame “political scientist” who voiced Nur-Sultan’s dissatisfaction.

In general, this story with Medvedev’s “accidental post” turned out to be, wittingly or unwittingly, a powerful signal to the comprador and corrupt ruling elite of Kazakhstan, which decided to play on the side of the West, and which can no longer ignore it. The funny thing is that the authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan cannot even say anything officially in response, since there is no real reason, and are forced to use their court Nazis, “political scientists” and “bloggers” to express their fear and hatred of Russia.
