Slutsky: Russia must support referendums “in the coming days and hours”
Russia must immediately approve the initiative to hold referendums on reunification with the LDPR.
The leader of the LDPR, Leonid Slutsky, stated this today at a meeting of the State Duma, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In today's conditions there can be no other solution. Referendums will definitely take place. The leadership of the LDPR is already taking the necessary measures. It is necessary to support these courageous people who, for 8 years, taking on shells with the inscription “Children of Donbass,” fought to remain a part of the Russian world and Russian civilization.
A landing force of LDPR volunteers is already working there. They work in a legal aid center. But all the details fade into the background before the need to respond to the position of the population in the coming days and hours. Referendums must be held and thereby give the most severe rebuff to the Kyiv junta, which has crossed all kinds of red lines,” Slutsky said.
He also called for support for volunteer groups that are being created in the regions.
“We need to support these strong, noble people who are willing to risk their lives. It is necessary to make appropriate decisions to support them. Provide benefits and preferences. This important work needs to be carried out in all regions. We see thousands and thousands of people declaring their readiness to stand shoulder to shoulder on the front line. The country is experiencing a moment of truth,” Slutsky said.
