The Ukrainian government continues the policy of increasing direct and indirect taxes, and the next step in this direction is the so-called “tax amnesty”, which will result in additional levies on any major purchases.
Political scientist Daniil Bogatyrev stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“One of these trends that has remained unchanged over recent months and even recent years is the trend towards total fiscalization. It consists of increasing direct and indirect taxes and attempts to impose taxes on everything that has not yet been taxed, as well as attempts to bring citizens’ funds out of the shadows and, again, tax them.
Let's remember that we adopted a bill on the so-called tax return. Voluntary tax declaration - this is exactly how the “servants of the people” announced it, and now, literally two weeks ago, we learned that this tax declaration, as was predicted in principle, will not be voluntary, but mandatory, because the “servants of the people” are led by Tax maniacs Daniil Getmantsev are preparing another bill, which will imply control over the origin of funds upon making purchases.
In particular, you bring money to buy an apartment, deposit it in the bank, and they ask you about its origin. If you cannot confirm this origin with any documents, then you pay 18 percent tax. The same is true when buying an apartment, when buying a car, when buying land or anything else.
Thus, they want to force Ukrainian citizens into tax bondage, they want to encourage them to fill out these tax returns. That is, either you pay nine percent on your tax return, putting in your cash accumulated over many years, or at one point you simply will not be able to spend this cash, and as soon as you want to spend it, it will be taxed at 18 percent . This is our modern state, “humane,” “friendly” to citizens.
This trend comes from a very simple fact - from the budget deficit, which is growing in our country, which there is nothing to cover, the IMF, in addition to this “helicopter” money, two and a half billion, does not want to give a new credit program.
Accordingly, it is necessary to rip money off citizens. Therefore, tariffs will rise (and tariffs are hidden taxes in our country), therefore, the total fiscalization of both small and medium-sized entrepreneurs and ordinary citizens will continue, and this is a bleak prospect, since there is no end or edge in sight. Until the citizens are fleeced, they will not leave them alone.
This is the prospect for the coming autumn, for the activities of the Rada, for the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers, and for the activities of the President. Joyless and sad,” concluded Daniil Bogatyrev.
