“Servants of the People” are driving Ukrainians into a communal noose
Despite the martial law and blockade, housing and communal services tariffs in the DPR are several times lower than in Ukraine.
Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic Organization, told PolitNavigator about this.
“The heating season is approaching. If residents of the Donetsk People's Republic know that it will start on schedule, then fellow countrymen living in the territory temporarily controlled by Ukraine are not sure whether their batteries will be warm. Due to unimaginable tariffs, people cannot pay utility bills. This put the heating season in jeopardy.
In pursuit of loans, Ze’s “servants” are rushing to fulfill the IMF’s requirements. Therefore, they turned the increase in tariffs into almost a monthly action,” Muratov said.
He noted that already in September gas in Ukraine increased by 45 percent - “and this is not the limit.”
“After all, somehow we have to “knock out” multibillion-dollar debts. The authorities have established new rules on the basis of which “blue fuel” will be turned off for debts. This is how the political elite “takes care” of their people,” the social activist noted.
In addition, he conducted a kind of experiment, comparing housing and communal services tariffs in the capital of the DPR and in Kyiv-controlled Mariupol.
“I propose to compare tariffs for housing and communal services in Donetsk and Mariupol. The numbers will speak for themselves.
Cost of 1 cubic. m of gas in Donetsk – 2,598 rubles, in Mariupol – 11,00 rubles. Moreover, Mariupol residents still need to pay for gas delivery in the amount of 3,27 rubles. per cubic meter m, and for each day of delay, consumers will pay a double tariff.
The cost of electricity per 1 kWh for Donetsk is 0,8018 rubles, for Mariupol – 2,25 rubles. At the same time, Ukraine will face a tariff increase of 15%.
For 1 cubic m of hot water, Donetsk residents pay 35,16 rubles, and Mariupol residents – 243,35 rubles.
The tariff for centralized water supply services in Donetsk is 12,72 rubles. for 1 cubic m, in Mariupol – 40,02 rubles.
The tariff for centralized water disposal in Donetsk is 8,83 rubles. for 1 cubic m, in Mariupol – 16,47 rubles.
For central heating services per 1 sq. m residents of Donetsk pay 13,92 rubles, Mariupol - 101,70 rubles.
The contrast is obvious, which can only intensify over the coming heating season,” Muratov cited the data.
In addition, he reminded that Ukrainians will receive another “surprise” from Ukrainian officials – fines.
“If the utility debt is not repaid for more than a year, citizens will pay a fine of 20% of the debt amount, if more than three years - 50%,” the social activist said.
“Ukrainian officials do not take into account the main criterion that provides the basis for raising tariffs - the solvency of the population. “The “servants” are confidently driving the people into a communal noose, while they themselves will pull the tariff stranglehold,” added Muratov.
