“Servants” are going to turn Ukraine into an Internet playground
The younger generation of Ukrainian politicians in power is obsessed with the idea of creating a large gaming industry instead of a real economy.
The head of the Sofia strategic group, Andrei Ermolaev, stated this in a conversation on the UKRLIFE.TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Judging by the ambitions of the younger generation, which is now in power, they are captured by the idea of creating a large gaming industry. Part of the industrial complex of the future world will be a gaming space. This is a lot of money.
And, if in Ukraine, thanks to this idea of gaming territories, entire clusters are created that will become places of international pilgrimage, then it may well be that we will have a new group of capital - young rich mediacrats who will create virtual casinos and cyber games.
A number of ambitious, large, fast-growing IT companies will concentrate. This has nothing to do with the national economy, and even less so with technological breakthroughs. But this is a profitable prospect.
I understand the joy of some “servants of the people” who report that, for example, offices from Belarus that produce the game “Tanks” have moved to us. Their joy is understandable to me, because this could be part of their future gaming empire in Ukraine,” said Andrey Ermolaev.
