The nationalists were offended by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who canceled the military parade on Independence Day, and decided to hold their own procession. The so-called “ATO veterans” who participated in the fighting in Donbass are uniting on social networks and are proposing to hold a “March of Freedom” on August 24 in the center of Kyiv.

The militants who joined him supported the action by turning to Zelensky, who is the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian army.
